New guy here.

I'm a long time Corvette fan who finally bought an 81 last year. I just got the sucker paid off so I thought I would celebrate by officially joining a Corvette community. Lucky you. :L

My car is a daily driver but its still a project and this next year I have a long list of work to be done. It's rough around the edges, but a whole lot of fun to drive here in sunny Daytona Beach.

Not much to say other than that. I'll try to pop in and contribute now and then, and I hope you will excuse the many questions I'm sure to have along the way.

Thanks for the welcome.

Mad Mike is my handle on extremeskins.com (a redskins fan forum). The name started on a whim and sort of an homage to a local skydiver named "Mad Dog". I always thought that was the craziest nickname ever and since my name is Mike and I am a little crazy, when I signed on to extremeskins it just popped into my head. :L

It's a project and I'll tell you a secret. At some point someone re-painted the left front fender a slightly darker (mustard) yellow. :L It's not super noticeable but a new paint job is one more thing on my to do list.

The bright side is its still the most fun car I have ever owned. The only problem is that I sometimes find myself turning a trip to the store into a 2 hour drive. :L

Yeah, It's not very noticeable but when you look closely you can see it. I think when I do re paint it I'm going to go with that mustard yellow. The 81 yellow is a little washed out for me.
