I never read about this car. I guess I'll have to sit down and check out the story. :upthumbs

Hey Lance....

You've had this baby a few years, how about an update on how it is doing a couple of years later?

Luigi-

What a turd the Carlisle Callaway Corvette is... ha! As you probably know I'm joking. The Callaway team did a bang up job with this vehicle, I have not complaints. I'm fortunate to have such a neat car in my collection - life is good! I do my best to take it to various local events, as a matter of fact it's a car I don't mind taking out in the rain & etc. I'll be going up to Connecticut for a Corvette event in July (and the ALMS race) with the car as well. I guess the car will know its way up to Connecticut (well, at least Callaway). Again, I'm thrilled to be the proud owner of such a well rounded vehicle.

Cheers,

Lance

Lance,
Your Callaway C6 is awsome, I have a few pic's of it with mine in the development days. :cool Saw you on `Appraise it' with your silver 63 split window your father had bought, glad you are going to keep it in the family. Nice job. :beer

Thanks! Yes, the Appraise my Car TV show was pretty neat. They did a wonderful job with the production of that airing. I was glad to be a part of it. Here's my other ride that actually has a turbo: click here.

You have one heck of a car too! Life is good...

Cheers,

Lance

Rats, I thought the video was going to be that OTHER turbo you have... :D

Beautiful 911, though. Very cool!

I figured that would throw some of the crew off... what can I say?!?! I love all types of cars! :D

I can relate. Porsche and Corvette live in harmony here also, but my wife is the big Porsche fan. She had a 1996 911 TT, and we sold it and bought her a Cayenne Turbo. :D

Very nice! I was never a big Porsche fan, but I always loved the last of the wide body air-cooled turbo cars - one popped up on ebay & I "needed" it. :D

The Cayenne's are cool - how does she like it? I guess what it all boils down too is... I love anything with 4 wheels & lots of HP :upthumbs

She loves the Cayenne, although the gas prices are forcing her to keep her foot out of it. It's amazing how quick it is when you consider it weighs over 6000 lbs, but it gets pretty thirsty when you're exercising it. :ugh

Every once in a while some guy will pull up next to her at a stop light and try and get her attention by reving the motor. Her's also has the adjustable suspension, and one time this guy pulled up along side at the light and went through the revving thing. She dropped the suspension to the lowest setting. The guy noticed the truck was hunkering down and the last thing I saw when I leaned forward was him mouthing "Oh S**t!" just before she left him in the dust. :L

I love the CCC , It took a special place in my collection :D and in my heart as it brought me a new buddy.

thanks Lance for all you did for me !!

About Porsche, you guys should jump on the very next 944 Callaway turbo or 1 of the very very rare 928 Callaway Turbo for sale.

Great story - thanks for sharing! My wife has an X5 4.6is - she also enjoys pushing it to the floor at times. However she's also whining about gas prices now. Nothing like filling up and SUV, especially when you have to hit the pump twice b/c it clicks off at $75 a fill (scary!).

Jeroen-

That's what life is all about... it's wonderful how this hobby works. We all share the same passion yet we all have different professions. It makes for an incredible network. Everytime I head to the doctors office I'm pray it's a "Corvette or car guy/girl" ;) Unfortunately they usually aren't - but you get the jist. I love what I do and I enjoy the people I'm surrounded by - LIFE IS GOOD!

Cheers,

Lance

PS I'm with you - the CCC always will be near & dear to my heart. It was a special project and one I can't thank Callaway Cars team enough for fulfilling.

Thank you, I agree red is the right color on a Porshe & Ferarri. I'm hardcore about only having Corvettes on the field - my father instilled it into me. I just love the look of Corvettes as far as the eye can see ---> :upthumbs

Cheers,

Lance
