#29 in the inside fuse panel kills them. However the original battery was dead thursday morning and I replaced it. Checked everything in the driveway and all worked normal. Went to a show this weekend (hatch and hood open all day) and lights went out just as they should - 15 minutes. Suspect...
Thanks - this morning tyhey seem to be working properly. Still wonder if it's a problem with the car or something i'm doing. Need to know what fuse controls the courtesy lights so i can pull it if this happens again
After a car show this weekend I had a dead battery. Got the car started and home. After it started it charged back up to 14.1 volts and stayed there while running. It sat in the garage all night and started this morning. Started checking and found that when the rear hatch is left opened (as it...
whatever they decide i hope they will race against somebody. I've been to the last three sebrings and will go again next year, It's been pretty boring watching the two vettes cruise around. three years ago it was a race for all 12 hours when the astins were racing for real. Shame vipers and...
Well I replaced the gas struts and the hood comes up easier but it still doesn't "pop up" when I pull the release. next thing I'll replace the springs at the rear corners of the hood.
The tool that Gordon Kilebrew invented is the only easy way to open a stuck hood. I have one under the seat just in case. Mid Ameria sells the tool and if you'll be at Carlisle next month Gordon will sell you one there.
Thannks - but it's not the cable. Both sides release but when they do the hood only rises a fraction of an inch. It used to pop up a couple inches. I've ordered new springs which are located on the rear corners and new strut cylinders. When i get them in I'll let you know what worked.
The hood on my 85 opens but when I pull the release it doesn't pop up as it used to. It does release but only comes up a tiny bit. I suspect the struts or the springs at the rear corners (or both) are worn out. What should I replace to make the hood "pop" open like it used to.
