Maybe the bracket that the rear spring eye is in is loose where it bolts to the frame. I think they are 3/8s bolts and I have saw the bolt threads get rusty which allows the bracket to "move" on the frame. And they are just about under your seat.

    C-1 Tail / Stop Lights

The brake light switch sends power up to the turn signal switch where it splits and goes to both rear turn signals giving you brake lights. It really shouldn't matter if the headlamps and taillamps are on or not. That's why I was thinking a ground.

    C-1 Tail / Stop Lights

My car is older but there is a black wire (it may have a tracer) that bolts to the back of the tail lamps and grounds to the steel strip under my dash. I just can't remember off-hand but it may be the same wire that grounds the tank unit for the fuel gauge.

    window crank issue-1960

If I had the regulator here I could repair it. The spline is just an old Chevy window and door handle spline. Maybe you can grind a flat on it and then epoxy a piece into the handle to take up the flat area. It's kinda Bubba but....... I would just fix it right and have it done with. Bob

    window crank issue-1960

I'm supprised that the handle (crank) didn't wear first. Did someone have vice-grips on it ? Try cleaning it up with a small file and then useing another handle, or switch handles on the drivers and passenger doors and see what happens.
