If it was an unmodified 1984 Corvette, you could have one person turn the key to the accessory position, then with the gas lid open place your ear to the opening and listen for the fuel pump to iniitialize. It will run for about 2 seconds.Can you here the pump? No? Check the fuse.

The horn button snaps right on to the steering wheel. There are clips that hold it in place. Feed 12 volts right to the horn from the battery with a piece of wire. At leaast see if the horn works.

I bought an intake manifold for my 84 and will soon begin porting it. I did see a kit on fleabay not long ago that came with all the replacement gaskets. Might still be there, take a look.
I took a flathead screwdriver and grinded a V into it and this is now my cushion removal tool. Their's a clip on the black plastic back that the cushion slips into. Place the tool on the "hook" of the cushion and press it off.
I would try fleabay first, horn buttons are expensive and thats all you get, the horn button. Then you need the emblem and then a contact plate.
Are the horns working? If you ground the yellow wire do the horn sound off? Let me/us know, if need be I can scan/copy what you need.
Are you referring to the ignition module? If so, I was having a similar problem, start, then no start. I replaced the ignition module and the cars been fine for 3 years. Don't forget to apply the grease that comes along with the ignition module or it will burn out, fast.
Its important to keep the tank filled, if not condensation will form and you'll have water in the tank. When the tank is full air is kept out of the tank eliminating condensation.
