    '06 A6 Transmission Problem

UPDATE: Got it back from dealer today. Codes were P0700 and P1825. Transmission range switch intermittent open circuit. Replaced shift valve range switch. Found no burning smell in transmission oil. Told them to go ahead and replace fluids anyway. Seemed OK on drive home. Will keep an eye on it...

    '06 A6 Transmission Problem

Car is just a bit over 44K miles. Driving home last night and Check Engine Light comes on and stays on. Pulled over and stopped (kept engine running) and read manual - said something about possible emission control problem and to have it checked soon. Also checked gas cap and reseated because I...

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to leave as-is and just be more careful with steep inclines and road humps.

Raising Ride Height of 2006 Coupe

Is the 3.5" ground clearance factory spec? Am wondering if previous owner had it lowered. Bought from a dealer so no info on prior work other than vehicle warranty claim history.

This is too low for the places that I go (car is a daily driver) and don't want to keep worrying about causing damage to either the spoiler...

    2006 Coupe A6 Shifter Question

I bought a used (37k miles) 2006 base coupe with an A6 trans (my first Vette) about 3 weeks ago. One thing I've noticed recently is that sometimes when I go from Reverse to Drive, the shifter is "loose" and I can give a very slight push on the shifter and move it to Neutral without pressing the...

Good Corvette Repair Shop in Clear Lake/Houston Area

After reading about poor quality service/repairs on Vettes at Chevy dealerships, I'd rather not chance it so I'd like to have some names of auto shops near my Clear Lake/NASA area home that I can use when needed. Any first-hand knowledge on good shops (or specific mechanics) to recommend?

    My First Vette

Read about the 10 commandments for Corvette owners this morning. Now I know why the friendly waves from other Vette drivers during the first few days that I had the new sled. Unfortunately, I was not aware of Commandment#1 (or is it #3) until today. Will be sure to obey it from now on...
