You can insert it into the return...
Simple question, Mark, have you thought about a lower temperature thermostat (i.e. 180*)?...:confused Because, even I know that as long as your T-stat is 195* or above, that is the temperature range you will run at (and you will never be at or below 175-180 except at cold start up/warm up)...
Isn't there a replacement plug available with a rubber washer integrated on it? I know that the later model versions had them and they did seem to work pretty well (they tended to seal pretty well against an imperfect pan). Might be worth looking for...:)
Can't say the same for me. But I am planning on waiting til the mad rush is over and we start seeing more realistic pricing on new (and used) Z's. But, based on your thought process, you made the right call for you. :w
I have both (in addition to two mid years) a 96 GS vert and a 2002 EB 6-sp. coupe. The difference in body integrity is astounding. If you can hang on to the C4, do it, and join the ranks.:upthumbs
I'm proud of you, Mark.:) If you had not swapped the H/C out, you know that the old one would have failed shortly after putting that beast of an engine in...;) That's Murphy at work...:L
