Help! Help in replacing oil pressure sensor for 1997

oil pressure sensor When I replaced my oil pressure sensor I took the intake manifold off. It's not really that hard or time consuming and when your done there are no funky holes etc. that are there forever. Probably won't take much longer that removing wiper cowl and cutting holes. anyway...

    FYI starting issue.

I had a problem today. I started my vette this morning drove to town ( approx. 13 miles) Stopped at cafe for coffee for couple hours. When I tried to start the engine it wouldn't crank at all. The auto unlocked worked when I approached and seat moved to position when key was inserted. volt...

    Engine blown - arg!

In my opinion, the trick is to determine which happened first did bent valve cause chain to break or broken chain leave valve open and get bent? Actually it doesn't make any difference, just rebuild engine stronger and have fun till something breaks again. This is just an oppurtunity to...

WHAT AIR PRESSURE DO YOU LIKE TO RUN?

I started running 35 psi in my 98. The front tires were showing a outer edge cupping and my goodyear dealer recomended the pressure increase. The tire cupping seems to have cleared up. The car had been aligned and tires purchased from that dealer. my 2 cents Jay

Rumor Mill: V6 Corvette is Coming

It is my opinion that a v6 vette, (gee that even sounds terrible) won't solve gm's problems. GM needs to compete with toyota, honda, chrysler, etc not itself. No use selling a corvette buyer a v6 mini vette. Just a sale they already had. Gm needs to go outside the markets they have to...

    oil pressure sensor

I did the oil pressure sensor change this afternoon - evening. Things went according to plan, only problem was getting the coolant hose off the throttle body. The one from the heads to the body was tough. I took the whole intake off. Tried to just slide it ahead but everything is loose by then...

    Upgrading Z51 Suspension Shocks?

Dr C5 Corvette, I purchased a set from GMPartsDirect.com this spring and installed them on my 98. Of course it rode and handled better cause with one front and one rear leaking shock fluid there was not a good before and after test. GMParts shipped promptly and I would use them again. Happy...

    Correct plug or 98 LS1

I ran into that when I changed the plugs in my 98 vette. I found the gap for the new # plugs is .040" I tried to get one of the new plugs to .060 and the gap was so uneven and hard to do that I decided to go with .040 rather than mutilate the plugs. As far as I can tell the engine performs...

    oil pressure sender

Ahhh. On the way into town this evening I watched the oil pressure gauge move to 80 psi. The DIC showed 129. WhenI got home shut engine off, let it set for 5-10 minutes, just turned key on without starting engine gauge and DIC shown 70 psi. Looks like my vette caught the bad oil sensor...

    Gaining 50hp How?

The easist way for 50 hp would be a nitrous oxide kit. For only a 50 hp shot I don't think you would need any other mod. Down side is dealing with the bottle. just my opinion. Jay

    Dying Battery?

I agree with vettepilot. If the car just clicked when 82shark turned the ignition switch a couple times then started without charging the battery then the battery probably is not the problem. first step is cleaning the battery connections, at the cable ends easist thing first.
