    Just bought my first Vette!

Wheels and Tires Hi, I have a 2000 black convertible. I got it Nov 2014. It has Foose wheels and 19 inch Falkens on the front and 20 inch Continental Extremes on the rear. I'm thinking about taking those off and getting stock rims and mounting the new Continental Extremes on them. They are...

    Right Sport Seat is POSSESSED!

Sitting in the car alone, engine off, key in acc, listening to the radio, rain coming down steady. Hear a hum. The right seat is moving forward. Went all the way forward and then sat and clicked trying to go further. Have had the car for about one year. Never saw this before. Reached over and...

    Service column lock !

Filled up with gas yesterday and couldn't leave the pump! Moved the steering wheel just a bit before turning the key (apparently has the new lock plate installed, never locks). Immediately got a WAIT 10 SECONDS and then SERVICE COLUMN LOCK. Had the car a year and put 13,000 miles on it with no...

Convertible Rear Window - How to Refasten: Copied from CF

Rear Window Still Holding Tight Did a trip from Kentucky to Boston, Ma and back. Heavy rainstorms on the way up. No leaks at the rear window. Did a couple of 90-100 MPH bursts on the way back. Window's holding tight. Rhino Glue is awesome.

Convertible Rear Window - How to Refasten: Copied from CF

Convertible Rear Window Read the post about Rhino Glue and decided to give it a try. FANTASTIC ! Had to cut out all the wood glue somebody had tried. It was crystallized and had expanded. What a mess. Took about two hours with a razor to clear it out. Fabric on outside top edge had curled...

Put on new balancer, but now code C1288. Steering sensor

Apparently I did mess up the clock spring. On the next ride the Airbag symbol lit up. Horn still works.

Put on new balancer, but now code C1288. Steering sensor

Maybe I'm too simple. Tried that. Did you see my post earlier about the spastic volt readings I saw?

Put on new balancer, but now code C1288. Steering sensor

Fun With the Volltmeter Got a good ground with the black lead Probed the back of connector for the middle blue wire. Is that the right procedure? If I did that correctly I think I'm screwed. When at rest, no matter what orientation of the wheel, I saw either .1 vdc or 11.4 vdc. When moving...

Put on new balancer, but now code C1288. Steering sensor

I read everything Sorry to imply I hadn't read the links. Just posting a clarification question. Thanks for giving me that information. With so many parallel/overlapping threads and links it's hard to keep track of who's posting what. I'll be pulling out the multimeter this afternoon.
