76 is a hard one cause that was the year they changed from the L48(Early) to the L82(Late) wasn't it? Badges must have been one of those things they changed also.

Its been awhile since I put up a thread so I'll keep it short. I'm taking the engine and gearbox out so I can do all the seals,welch plugs etc. Is it easier to take both out at the same time or seperately. Any suggestions are very appreciated. Cheers.

I have a 1976 corvette. Whats the go with a solid amber indicator (left or right}? I found one bulb was blown, I replaced it thinking that would be the problem but now all the bulbs work {solid} but no flashing....hmmm Cheers.

K, the ground is connected (black) Now I have 2 green wires coming out of a connection. 1 goes to the pressure switch, and the other goes to the heater control circuit. Does all this sound right? Cheers.

My Airconditoner doesn't work cause its not wired. I do have a wire or two hanging around but I don't know if their for the airconditioner or what their for. Whats the chances of getting some detailed information or evn a diagram or pictures. Cheers.

You wre right, a short wouldn't stop the car from starting. The problem is that the battery had dropped a cell (prob from the short). It all works now. Thanks eveybody for the input.....cheers.

I tried a tester and I tested each fuse individually on both sides. They either worked or didn't work, cause some work when the ignition works which is my problem. hmmm

yep, that is my fuse box. I was putting my stereo in and the yellow (fuse) wire touched the (metal) centre consol and shorted the car. Do u or anyone know which fuse to replace? Would it be the one that says (backup)? What are 2 up the top? One looks like a relay. Whats the one underneath...
