Help! Odd Noise I have the 2 factory manuals and have used them often on our '96 LT4. I'm 69 years old and not afraid to tackle any repair with the use of these manuals. Best thing I ever bought.

PO300 code If I leave my '96 LT4 sit for longer than 2 weeks, every time I drive it after sitting it displays this code. If I drive it within the 2 week time frame--no code! If it sits for longer than 2 weeks, the first time I drive it, the code sets. The check engine light does not come on...

"I have spark at the coil" My '96 LT4 did the same thing! It was a bad coil wire going into the Opti. The boot on the wire was split, and shorted out on the back of the waterpump! Look closely at the wire, and twist the boots to see if they are cracked.

Intermittant Miss Check the coil wire from the opti to the coil--closely! Mine had a split in the boot at the opti, and the spark was jumping to the back of the water pump!

C4 Brakes You might want to try to bleed off some fluid from the rear calipers, that might be just enough to release the proportioning valve and restore the brake balance you need. Have someone sit in the car and push on the pedal, then bleed the passenger side first, and go to the drivers side...

Delco battery Failed Again We have a Delco Professional battery in our '96 LT4 going on 7 years now. It is on a battery tender only for the winter months. I'll buy another one if/when this one finally goes.
