No, that's not what I meant. I was just saying you would have to sync any remote you have, not just a single one. If all you have is one, then that's all you would sync. I had two remotes, one went bad, replaced the battery, resync'd it, it would last for a day or so, and then go bad again...

I ordered the pair to fix both sides. Just did the one that was grinding first. Will replace the driver's side soon. I work on the road and don't carry the tools with me.

Syncing is a breeze, but you will need to sync both remotes, not just the new one. Takes half a minute or so. Details are in the owners manual. I had to do that a couple of months ago.
