My 2000 C5 suddenly began making a ticking sound under the hood on the driver's side. It seemed to only "tick" once I reached 1,800 to 2,000 rpms and continued to "tick" whether I accelerated or idled down. Thinking it might be a faulty A/C compressor, I tried turning it off but that wasn't...
Yep, have the same lid liner. I tried all of the strips and padded spacers too but the heat/humidity during the FL summer months merely melts it off so I was looking for an alternative - which you provided. I will try it. Thanks again! :v
Securing the trunk lid liner suggestions
Thanks BoDuke. You're very clever in using lipstick for pilot marks and I like the idea of the black screws w/washers. Obviously, you screwed the liner into the x-brace in the trunk lid but how do you keep the sides from drooping? ;)
Key fob
I've had problems with my key fob too. If you hold down the top two buttons on the key fob for a few seconds, you should hear your horn honk once which will let you know that it's reset. I still don't know what is causing my problem but at least I now know how to reset it... Good luck!
I have this great trunk lid liner that was initially installed using velcro industral strength tape but as the summer approaches and the heat and humidity increases, the tape just won't hold it any longer. Any suggestions on how to keep the liner on permanently? :thanks:
