Swell is 100% correct and IMO, putting it mildly.. An O-Ring fits in an annulus (groove) and in a bore.. It stretches slightly in the groove and is compressed slightly in the bore which provides a seal.. Now, consider what happens when an O-Ring swells in the bore and groove....

Definitely a compromise with vehicles.

I'm a Ham operator and shortwave listener which means I notice antennas.. I don't see as many antennas on interstate rigs as compared to the past when almost truck had one. Perhaps the cell phone's ability to "phone home" so easily has replaced CBs??
