    Greetings from England

Welcome to Estados Unidos Americanos! I've worked a lot with folks from the UK, especially England and Canada, during my years in the Army. You all have my respect and admiration and you are family here.

    Howdy from WAshington State

Welcome! I'm in Oklahoma, but came here from Tacoma ... and have a Torch Red '95 coupe ... and my name is Bob. Coincidence? Who knows?

Pictures of GM Seminar Concours at Saint John's Inn Plymouth MI

Speaking of pictures, although unrelated to the C8 specifically, did anyone notice in the latest issue of Motor Trend with all the C8 stories that their feature on the '55 Chevy only had photos of a '56 Chevy? Of all places to make such a boneheaded mistake ...

News: What the hell, no c8 chatter......

It is curious that the C8 has generated so much less discussion than C7 did. I remember us picking it apart on every detail, especially the "Camaro" taillights. But once they hit the bricks, most of us came to admire it as much as any other Vette series. I carped a lot about losing the big...

2019 Mid-Engine Corvettes Stop for Lunch at Michigan McDonalds

As much as I like the rendering, I'm not going to get too attached to it. I found a picture of the Jaguar C-X75 concept car that shared a lot of lines with this C8 version. In fact, the wheels are identical right down to the tiny round Jaguar insignia on the hubs. It's nice, but once again...

2019 Mid-Engine Corvettes Stop for Lunch at Michigan McDonalds

Overlap My understanding is that they will have a production overlap with C7 and C8 being marketed simultaneously, beginning in late 2018, although I don't know how long they will continue the practice. BTW ... do you think the C8R will be very close to a Corvette DP?

    Eureka springs

First time I've had Corvettes for years but never joined a club or went to an event like this. Since I live only 152 miles from Eureka Springs, we decided to show up, even though we didn't know anyone and weren't members. It was AWESOME! That quaint little tourist town was turned into a...

2019 Mid-Engine Corvettes Stop for Lunch at Michigan McDonalds

So far, so good ... It's pretty clear this is not just a mule testing out internal components, like the Camaro Chevy used on the C5 chassis. It's the actual C8! That being said (as obvious as it may be), we still are thirsting for a look without the fabric cladding and dazzle-wrap. To date...

Is GM Planning an Electric Corvette?

I think it's almost a given The whole industry is jumping into the hybrid and electric technology and the advantages are legion. The exotics are getting blistering performance with hybrids without losing any efficiency or fuel economy. Who needs nitrous when you can kick an additional 250...

    The mid-engined Corvette is happening!

Whichever way it goes, there's a bright side ... ... imagine all the new concept cars we'll get to admire, dislike or simply wonder about. All the ones we already have are legendary and somewhat timeless. You need not own a Corvette to enjoy it.

Zora Mid-Engine Drawing Corvette Leaked to Motor Trend

All-new everything For something that so many people have waited for so long, I'm certain the designers and engineers appreciate the gravity of what they are attempting and will be able to stun the world when it rolls out at long last. It will need to be the most 'Corvette' of all 'Vettes ever...

Question: Has anyone noted the styling similarities between C7 and F12?

A little off topic, but ... ..I was just wondering if you are a pilot, Flyboy. I was a chopper jock in the Army long time ago. Vietnam and all that. And congrats on the C7. That's the same color I prefer off the new Stingray swatch panel. I've had a few sporty rides over the years, too...

Question: Has anyone noted the styling similarities between C7 and F12?

I wish I was "poor" enough to afford a C7 I'd say we have a concensus here ... there is a strong resemblance but who gives a darn. ;LOL

Question: Has anyone noted the styling similarities between C7 and F12?

Forgive me if this has been previously discussed, but my eyes see a lot of this Ferrari in the C7. Note the snake eyes, hood vent, ducktail, roof and side window lines, rear window treatment and especially the side coves ... and front-mounted engine. I could be off the mark, but didn't the F12...
