What do you think insurance will be like for the new Z06? When I bought my C5 I was surprised at how reasonable it is. Any ideas? Of course if I'm even thinking about a $75,000 car it really shouldn't matter anyway. Do you think some insurance companies will refuse to insure it?

Check the parking brake. I'm not sure if parking brake problems exist on all C5s, but mine is just decoration. Holds a little if the car is pointed down hill, and not at pointing up hill. I have a 2001 6spd coupe. Rob

The person I bought it from included a shroud already cut. That way I get to keep mine intact. I agree with you that it would be quite easy to install without removing the shroud. But I'm hoping to install it with already cut shroud. Thanks, Rob

Well it might just be a placebo, but I tried the autoadjust technique. The brake seems to engage sooner now. I should have marked the old position before doing the adjustment. But it does seem better now. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks. Normally I enjoy driving my car forward. But tonight I'll try some backward driving. I thought the emergency brake was supposed to autoadjust when the car goes backwards. Thanks for the tip on the good article. Rob
