    Question: Best replacement brake system

Well, like I mentioned earlier, I'm an old guy so that means that I do things OLD SCHOOL! Back in the day, if we had some rust on our chrome wheels or bumpers, we just used a little Coke on them. It worked great. But with wheels, you also need a degreaser. So here is the SECRET recipe. Put 4oz...

    Question: Best replacement brake system

Hi Eric. I don't mind at all. Yes, the conversion was quite expensive. I am too old to do the install myself, so that added an extra $900 to the cost. I replaced EVERYTHING. Master cylinder, braided stainless brake lines, powder coated calipers, slotted rotors and high performance pads. Parts...

    Question: Wandering a little

Hey guys. My '81 has 50,000 miles on her. Not driven on a lot of rough roads and has new boots on her. Once upon a time I owned a 1956 Ford. There was a hex screw with a nut on it mounted on the steering box that you could tighten up the amount of play in the steering. Is there something like...

    Question: Best replacement brake system

These are the before and after pictures of the inside of the wheels. I concocted a special recipe to remove the old brake fluid and brake dust, and I think it worked well!

    Question: Best replacement brake system

Hey guys. Just an update on my replacement brake system. I have all the parts and an appointment to have them installed on April 17th. I am too old to be crawling around under the car anymore, and I have a great mechanic that will take care of the install for me. I will update again after I get...

    Question: Best replacement brake system

Brake system Hi Tom. It seems that ALL (at least all that I have purchased) of the replacement calipers are just rebuilt (and poorly at that) cores that have exceeded their life cycle. 3 sets, 12 calipers, and they have all leaked in very short order. I have found an aftermarket "direct bolt...
