Thanks Bob. I will give it a try. Is there no adjustment at the handle end of the emergency brake? Any idea how to remove the handle assembly to check for cable movement? Thanks again for the link.

The emergency brake on my 1998 Convertible is not working. The handle just goes all the way with no resistance. I had it to the dealer who lubricated the cable and said it was fixed. :mad Of course it wasn't. Any suggestions?? :confused Is it in the handle...the cables or the emergency...

well, you are right took me about 10 hours but the cover is on and back on the car. The only problem is it is a little tight. Is this where the upholstery steamer comes in? Where do I get one and once I use it will the Top loosen up? It is now pulling up the back about an inch. Let me know...

I just got a replacement canvas top for my 98 Convertible and was just wondering if anyone had any good tips on how to replace it myself. Anything I should watch out for or any good websites with information about how to do it properly. Let me know. Thanks
