Will gears(3.07) from a Dana 30 fit a Dana 36?

I change my oil every 5,000 miles, i baby this thing, it was overheating a bit for a while but i fixed thats problem, since its louder from the top, could it be a fuel injector? Im doin research but it all sounds like a bad lifter My oil is fine, I use Lucas high mileage with it, I just noticed...

I have a ticking noise, sounds like a bad lifter. sounds like a lil chipmunk munchin on something in the valve cam cover, hmm is this difficult to replace?

wow there not cheap! so why is a dana 44 stronger than a 36?

Can I just buy the gears and replace the 2.59 with the 3.07? Or do I need a new rear to do this? I heard a new rear will be better? ANd has anybody expierenced more tire spin?
