1985 but other years will work. Sunburned LCDs are fine, as mine are good. I don't even need the housing, just need the electronics. I am tired of fecking with mine and getting nowhere.
Pull it out, look everything over, plug it back in and it works.....for a bit. Sometimes a day, sometimes for...
Just to update this and take it ttt...
After some research I have found this to fit the '89 to '96 models.
I'm gonna hang with it another week and then it goes to eBay...
...I believe '87 and up? This was with some extra parts that came with an '84 model that I recently bought and sold. The measurements between the front two mounting holes is 32 9/16". I know for sure it does NOT fit the '84 or my '85.
Anyway, it has some minor scratches that could be buffed...
Shut up Shut Up SHUT UP!!:mad:r:mad
You're killing me here!:cry:W:cry

I guess he was pretty ****ed at me for not coming through. From our conversations, he really needed the money. Sounds like it was a heck of a deal.

There is a rod that runs from the lever down to the actual switch on the side of the steering column. It may be out of adjustment. Pain in the butt to get at, but not near as bad as the ignition...
You will probably get a bunch of people telling you the bore for the shaft is worn and you need a new throttle body.:eyerole
While that may very well be the case, you need to check all other possibilities first before spending that money.
With the MAF pulled, open the throttle plates and with a...
Close enough for me!:D
There are some issues that need to be dealt with(other than the obvious), but it will be a decent driver. It was well worth the money.
Hell, I drove 2700 miles(round trip) to get it! Luckily my brother was visiting relatives out there and could take a look at it first.
I went through this with my 85. The tumblers were stripped in the ignition. $12.50 at O'Reilly Auto, $5 for the plastic "turtle" from GM and I was up and running.
From what I read on the subject while doing my fix, dumb*sses yank the key out of the ignition while the shifter is not in reverse...
