Undercoating a Vette
I bought a Corvette that had been undercoated, perhaps when new. The end result was that the undercoating peeled away from the frame and sand and salt was trapped behind it. Some major rust problems because of that.

I've always put a valve in the hose to the heater and shut the hot water off from the heater core in the summer. You may also have some issues in your cables to the doors.

Something to remember is that the bracket that John shows can be a killer for tires that are too wide. That happened more than once in the early years before restoration was prevalent and guys were sticking wide wheels and big tires on for traction.

My local Chevy garage can't seem to find the part numbers for the 72 Vette LT-1 aluminum valve covers. Can anyone provide them to me? Also the part numbers for the decal that goes on one of them and the rubber oil plug?
Thanks

Can anyone tell me where they bought theirs and how...
My son and I just wired up a custom Merc. We went with a 21 Circuit EZ Wiring kit and have lots of wires left over for future enhancements, like A/C, elect doors trunk, PW, PDL, etc.
One thing not mentioned in the directions was that you should cap off all bare wire ends not used before...
