My 61 with the original trans jumps out of 2nd when deceleration. I have heard that its not unusual, but I'd like to get it fixed. Is that problem typically in the linkage or in the trans?

I recently had a stereo and amp installed in my 61, and it cuts out pretty frequently. I took it back to the shop that put it in and they said it may be my generator is not genning enough to power it. I had my generator rebuilt about a month ago, so I have a hard time thinking its not genning...

If I change my intake on my 1961 (1x4) to an Edelbrock performer 2104 and the carb to a edelbrock 650 will I still be able to close my hood? rtg
