    Low Fuel Light

After replacing the centre circuit board in my 77 the low fuel light is always on (yes, even with a full tank of gas). Any suggestions on what might be causing this? :confused Thanks

    Vortec

The Vortec heads were not the only change...sorry if I was misleading. The engine was pretty much stock when I bought it a few years ago, except that the 77 L48 engine was bored to a 355 and had a different cam. The HP at that time was 216HP/230ft-lbs of torque. I then replaced most of the...

Last year, after installing the GM Vortec heads, I had a dyno pull of 300HP and 330 Ft/Lbs Torque at the rear wheels.

    Clutch Fan Problems?

Hi there, I have a recently rebuilt 77 engine which was running hot from day one. Everytime I tried installing the thermostat (180 or 160) the temp would sky-rocket, so I finally just removed it altogether. Even without the thermostat I was running hot at sustained high speed driving (up to...

Thanks for all the comments. I'm rebuilding my engine and sprucing-up the engine compartment at the same time. I'm considering the aftermarket pump for 2 reasons: the first is performance - I thought the aftermarket pump actually pumped more fuel than stock (110 GPH vs 80 GPH). The second...

Fuel pump with no return line

I want to replace my stock fuel pump with an Edelbrock 110psi pump (mechanical). The stock pump has a tank return line but the Edelbrock doesn't. Is it necessary to use the return line with this new pump? Can the return line simply be blocked-off? Any advise is appreciated. Rob

    Heads and Cam

Holley SysteMAX II I'm also considering going with the Holley SysteMAX kit. I have a 77 with a 355ci under a stock hood. My questions are: 1. Will it fit under a stock hood? I'm assuming it would with a drop air cleaner base and a 2" or 2.5" filter. 2. Is the cam too much for the street? The...
