Can anyone tell me if I am on the right track about my headlight problem? A few days ago my headlights would not come on after I had shut them off without retracting them. everything works as far as the fog lights and the motion of the headlights opening and closing except them comming on. I...
I saw some awesome wheel tire combinations the other day and was curious if anyone knew how far a fellow could go with tire and wheel sizes on his 84. they call for the 255 50 16. how big can i go?
Houston " We have lift off"
Dear Hot Rod Roy,
You gave me just enough courage to put that bumper on by myself. I took my small radiator heater in the garage and hung my bumper over it for about 1 hour. That was long enough to get the thing to become very pliable ( might need spell check on...
it seems that the inside of the fascia where it bolts to the reinforvement bar that I can not get it to fit over that, it is to tight. I was thinking that if i removed the whole impact bar that would alow me to get the fascia on without forcing it on. I can not remember it being that difficult...
thanks for the info. I think I will remove that headlight and take a close look at it and put it back on and see what happens. do you know what the small little male plastic connections are on the bottom of the headlights are? I just assumed the vaccum went to them. I feel like a real dumb ass.
if there is no vaccum to the headlights then why would one of them hang up only after a short movement. I presumed that the vaccum lines comming out of the canister in the front of the vet were for the headlights.
Can anyone tell my what is required when replacing the front bumper on my 84. I find the fit too tight and it almost feels like something needs to be taken apart or removed in order to get this piece on. I was thinking that the top rail that the bumper screws to could be removed and then...
I am getting close to putting my 84 Vet back together now but have an issue with the headlights. I hooked them up and they both worked fine for about 10 revolutions but now one is not working only part way. I looked, and the hoses are capped off and are very old and brittle. Two questions...
sanding
I got around to the rear quarter panels and when I started sanding them they got down to the fiberglass real quick. What should I do as far as sealing that off before I prime it? I think that it might have been because the paint back there was deteriorated worse than any where else...
Taking off the rear bumper of my 84 and I got to the ones that you have to get in some wierd postions tog get to and the damn bolts are spinning. Does anybody have an idea of how to get them off? I was thinking about drilling on them for a while and see if I could get them to come off.
