Update. I got the booster off last night. That last nut was hard to remove. I got the new booster/master on but was only able to access 3 of the 4 nuts. I can't figure out how to attach the difficult nut since I can't get my hand up there and it seems to just fall back into the deep dish...

I plan on tackling this over the weekend. I too have a 71 and am replacing both the booster and master since my braking is very poor right now. It may not need a booster but I got a good deal on both master/booster so I'm going to replace both while I'm in there. I know about the 4 nuts...
