Contact your local DMV. They can give you the Vin. Then you can do a trace with carfax.

It sounds to me like the Qjet needs a rebuild. The jets are probably gummed up. You could try some carb cleaner in the tank but you have to drive it for that to work.

I had the exact same problem with my 92. I spent weeks chasing wiring and trying to find the problem. I finally replaced the computer and it was fine after that.

Does it have the original spark plug wires? If so I would invest in new ones. Just because you can't see sparks jumping doesn't mean they are ok.

I had 92 for about 4 years and loved it. You can get the headliner off EBAY and it is fairly easy to install. Make sure to shop around for carpet. There is some real junk out there.
