I was there in my 2002 Z06 for the 2005 Z06 fest and last September in my 1978 Anniversary coupe. Had a blast at the Z06 fest. I'm sure the other fests are a blast too.
I have a 2004 CTS-V as well as my 2007 coupe with 6 speed. As I'm aging (57) the auto looks a lot better. Just completed a 1,000 mile trip in the V and caught myself thinking at times the paddle shift auto with faster shifting in the 2008s would be really sweet. Even 5 years ago I would have...
I also have a 1978 Siver Anniversary. No comparision they are two different cars. Buy one to enjoy now not what it may or may not be worth in 30 years. Base cars are not rare. Check Ebay or Kerbecks there are plenty base cars out there. As always condition, color and options will determine...
If you really want a view of the CTS-V world go to their forum. For the small number sold in comparison to C6s their are usually 50-75 on at any time to maybe 15 on our site. They also are not shy about mods to their Vs. http://www.cadillacforums.com/index.php
In south La the difference between reg and prem is 20-30 cents a gallon. Unless you drive 10s of thouands of miles a year the difference works out to less then 100 bucks. You drive a 45+K car surely the minor saving are not worth the loss of preformance and possible engine damage when you are...
A body shop certified to straighten out bent frames from accidents should be your next stop. Some of the larger parts houses like Paragon have new replacement frame sections and some of the Corvette recycler certainly have frame and possibly frame sections for sale.
Actualy the auto mags say it is 1 or 2 inches wider inside. There should be specs on line in the tech center section. I had a 2002 Z06 and now a 2007. The Z was black on black the 2007 oak interior. The lighter color makes everything seem more open. The 2007 is very confortable, the only...
I am addicted to fast cars. I have a 1978 Silver Anniversary L82, 2004 CTS-V, 2007 Z51 coupe and a 2005 HD Dyna Glide Custom. Send cash to get me in re-hab.
Check any of the major vet parts suppliers (Ecklers, Zip). They have a seat re-enforcing kit that fits over the top of the bottom seat frame where the bumper bolts attach. Lists for $25. Have not tried it yet, but for $25 and an hour or so of work it's worth a try.
