BTW I do my oil changes myself and switched to Royal Purple a couple oil changes back. I doubt I'll ever be going back to Mobil 1. The informal 'research' I've done has me convinced that RP's a better oil, and besides my LT4 seems to run better on it. FWIW :beer

That is the exact part number of the fluid you need. I just had the fluid changed in the tranny of my 96 LT4 about 3 wks ago, and I have the receipt from Koons Chevy of Vienna, VA right in front of me as I type this. The part number of the fluid they installed is 012345349.

Can I drive up on my race ramp XT's to do this job? i.e. can it be done with just the front end of my LT4 elevated; or does the car need to be level?

Louis, those headlight motors are extremely robust in their design so chances are it is indeed the bushings.
