I really appreciate the help Don. :beer I am new to diagnosing cars issues so Im glad there's very helpful people online like yourself! I cut open the oil filter and looked for any metal particles as a way to check for hard part failure like bearings. I know the oil I posted pictures of above...

Two LT1 noises on video. Bad lifter, bad cam lobe or rod?

Hi DonB. I was not able to do anything with the car until recently. Thank you, your advice is the most thorough Ive received on any forum. I added half a quart of MMO like you said and ran the car 100 miles and I'm still getting the lifter noise. Here is the original video to remind you of the...

Two LT1 noises on video. Bad lifter, bad cam lobe or rod?

Thanks Don! I'm going to tackle the second noise FIRST. I used a mechanics stethoscope on the bolts on the valvetrain since that's what gave me the most consistent sounds. Anywhere else sounded very different even 1 cm apart. The bolt on the driver side that is closest to the windshield sounds...

Safety worries - brakes and seat belts

So maybe I just have to get used to putting a lot of pressure on the breaks. With no traffic around I tried at 50 mph, no ABS Tried again right away at 40...

Safety worries - brakes and seat belts

The car braking has been like this since I bought it a couple months ago. I have not driven it much but the brakes do get a little better with more driving just a little. Would I get better braking if I replace the brake lines? Or is that just to avoid corrosion and leaking? Thanks

Safety worries - brakes and seat belts

Hello this is my first thread! BRAKES I haven't owned a Corvette so I dont know how the brakes are supposed to be. I don't feel a good or strong "bite" when I press down hard and they dont stop the car very fast. I had the brake fluid changed last week and it improved the braking but not the...
