Thanks again tnovot, edmond, and jmccloud. You've all been very helpful.

    Starter trouble

I think I may just end up doing the work myself. Are you sure that its 22lbs for the starter bolts?

    Starter trouble

My brother has a 86 vette coupe and hes been experiencing some problems recently. He said about 3 out of 20 starts the car either would crank hard for a bit, then start, or not crank at all and not start. Once he knocked on the starter a couple of times, it would start. If I'm not mistaken...

I've had a very bad day...

Ahh ya, you got me. But hey, those were controlled conditions ;). Honestly though, I have learned a lesson from this experience. I know my crazy days are done. If I told myself that street racing is not worth it a week ago, I wouldn't have listened. Some experiences really humble some people.

I've had a very bad day...

lol, very true evolution. I'm trying to do everything I can to get my mind off of it. Ken, I've been to J&D Corvettes a few times. They have a nice place over there, my only complaint is the cost. I just don't want to drive the car that distance in this condition. Does anybody know a place...

I've had a very bad day...

Thanks for the support guys. Ken, I live in about 10 minutes from LAX. You know any good Corvette mechanics nearby?

I've had a very bad day...

I was driving down a highway at around 65mph approaching an intersection with my traffic light being green. When I came within about 100ft of the intersection I see a black mustang flying down the perpendicular street headed RIGHT in my direction at a very high speed. I knew he wasn't stopping...

    Thoughts on Lowering a C5

I don't know much about the science behind it, but what about trimming the spoiler however much you lower it? I don't think it would have any negative effects (although I hope somebody corrects me if I'm wrong).

    Front Windshield

That is exactly what I'm lookin for. Who are "the pros" though? For that price I'm willing to drive pretty far (I live in Los Angeles, California BTW).

    Front Windshield

I had a pretty bad day today, one of the reasons being that I came back to my car with a badly damaged windshield (a rock maybe?). Can I replace it myself? Where should I look for the windshield (junkyards, online, dealerships, etc.)? Eckler's price is about $450, is that reasonable? Any info...

    Paint a C4

I am very inexperienced when it comes to serious body work. I would love to paint my car (and am willing to do some serious work), but, again, I have no knowledge/experience regarding paint/body work. Can I do it with these videos alone and a little $$$?

    Removing 95 Interior Door Panels

OK, I think I found what your talking about, but how do I get a screw driver in there?? Its impossible to just stick a screw driver in there with the door locking lever in the way. Is there any way I can remove it? Thanks again.

    Removing 95 Interior Door Panels

Thanks. I'll go take another look. I'll let you know if I find anything.

    Removing 95 Interior Door Panels

My 95 coupe had some custom body work done to it (most of which I am not TOO fond of). One of the things the guy before me did was shaving the door handles. I am almost certain that this part has burned out (the solenoid) so I need to get inside the door to replace it. I got the bottom tacs...

    Spare Tire "Special Key"

First off, I'd like to remind you all that it is important to have a spare that is properly inflated. For those of you who bought your car used, make sure you are aware of whether or not you have all the tools you'll need (including the spare itself!) to change your tire. I was looking through...

    Front License Plates

Rabbit, let me know if you do contact the CHP. I'm hoping I will get the chance to ask an officer some time soon. By the way, the ticket isn't so bad. All you have to do is go to any police station near you, show them your car with the front plate attached, and mail a $10 check to the court...

    Front License Plates

Well, I'm not so sure that it looks better in front. I think it looks VERY ugly in front, on the dash is only ugly. Thats just a matter of opinion, I guess. What do those clear covers look like? Anybody use em?

    Front License Plates

I'm not sure if this topic is appropriate for this forum; I couldn't find the right place for it. I was just wondering where you guys mount your front plates. In California it is required to have a front plate and I have been pulled over ONLY because I did not have one mounted. They look...

    I Want To Learn!

All my life I've spent much of my free time reading about cars and devouring information. The problem is that now that I have my Corvette, I don't know much about how to work on it. I also happen to be looking for a part time job. I'm willing to take classes here in Los Angeles to learn how...
