Help! Request for recommendations on where to get CD player fixed in 1994 Corvette

I had a 1994 roadster with the BOSE CD/Cassette player. The CD player would not play computer generated CDs. I pulled the unit out of the car, and sent it to Dr Don's in Texas. He upgraded the CD player to accept computer dubbed CDs and repaired the Cassette deck. Had it back in less than...

    1962 Corvette Restomod

Of course I love the color and I especially like the silver interior with the red exterior. Is the red Roman Red that was the color offered in '62? The interiors did not come in silver until 1963; does it have a convertible top too? I agree with Tom, nice collection. Barrett

Photos of my 3-1/2-year'64 Restoration & Rebuild Process

What a great restoration - you did good. Don't be surprised if a guy (me) in red corvette stops you if he sees you on the road to admire your work close up. I will be looking for you now that I know you are in the neighborhood (Denver area). Of course, my vettes don't come out for several...

    Black Z06 to Red ZR1

I am envious, a RED ZR1 - WOW. Can't think of a better way to say it - the corvette looks great. Congratulations! Barrett

Help! Radio clock stays on all the time even with the igniton off.

Another question is "has the radio been refurbished and then replaced in the dash"? I had a 91 that I had MAMW refurbish [they sent it to Texas] and when it was returned and re-installed professionally, the radio unit would not turn off. Since the unit was sealed, the professional installer...

    New Member from KC Area.......

I am of the opinion that you should keep it for longer than another year. It would be a shame if you broke up a pair of beautiful corvettes. Next time I am in KC, my brother and I would like to see the cars in person. Barrett

New Cadillac sports coupe rivals Corvette

I don't think it is an attractive looking car from the photo included with the article. To me, it does not rival the Corvette at all. Jiust my opinion. Barrett

Yes, it would fit in my fleet rather nicely, but I would prefer a solid red top instead of the sun roof or black top. It really looks spiffy. Barrett

beauty day in my hometown - lotsa pics

Glad I viewed your pics yesterday as they are gone today. To bad we don't have our own internal site photo system where we will not lose them due to band width or some other quirk by other sites. I really did enjoy them. Barrett

    Love Corvettes

Thanks for clearing up the 5 corvette owned post; my wife will be happy that I am not looking for two more. I've owned 11 and still have 3 (she says that enough). You will be a good CAC member since you responded to our questions. Hopefully we'll be able to help you and you will be able to...

    New Member from KC Area.......

Tom beat me to it, I was going to invite you to CF in Effingham and to cruise with Tom and myself and any others from Colorado as we pass thru KC. KC was my home town from 1944 to 1972, then moved west after college. Retired here in Pine and love being retired. Hope you have joined one of the...

beauty day in my hometown - lotsa pics

Nothing like a RED corvette to brighten one's day. It's a beautiful day here too, 20 degrees, freshly fallen snow that I shoveled, and a blue sky. Three more months and the Z06 comes out and the 08 convertible in June. Thanks for the pictures. Barrett

    crossed over to C5

In my 50+ years of owning Corvettes, my first C5 was the best one I ever owned, then I got a C6 and WOW. Still, I purchased a C5 Z06 as my third Corvette and love it. For the money, the C5 is a great car as will be the C6s when they drop in price. For the record, I will not go back to the C1...

    CF 2011 Hotel Dates

Thanks Bud for the clarifications. I will keep my reservation for the 8TH and I can change to arrive to the 9TH if necessary. Just don't want to sit around all day on the 8TH, especially if some of us caravan to Effingham, such as Tom, Colorado Geezer, Scotts Redvette, and maybe even Patrick...

    CF 2011 Hotel Dates

Questions for Bud (aka Yoda) about the dates for CF in Effingham. I made my reservations today at the Fairfield Inn, checking in on June 8 and leaving June 12 since CF was announced as June 9 to 11. The hotel people said I was the only one requesting the June 8 date. Bud, does the CF...

    General Rambling on trading/selling

Bud, have you ever thought of owning 3 corvettes (if Nancy would allow it)? I was curious about the Overland Park 08 pace car as Billy Rericker traded his 08 pace car in Overland Park for his current Callaway. You weren't at the non cruise fest in 09 in BG, but he had it there. It was an auto...

To all convertible owners about ruining soft top with hard top on.

In response about me only stating I never had a problem 3 times, I was just reiterating various scenarios. I never did have a problem with my convertible tops, not even with the plastic windows before they were replaced with glass, no cracking and no yellowing. I did pay attention to the tops...

    1954 Corvette at the Lake

Our lakes are frozen over and people walk out on them and drill holes to fish. I would rather be driving my Corvettes on a warm day rather than drilling holes. I envy you, but I love living in Colorado and the mountains, so I have to put up with the cold weather and no Corvette driving. Barrett

    Which WOULD you choose?

Tom I had a 66 427 - 390 hp roadster (new) for 14 years). I still love that car and wish I had never sold it. It is my dream car also as I dream about it more than any other Corvette I've owned or currently own. However, my 2008 roadster is the best Corvette I've ever owned, so I would choose...

To all convertible owners about ruining soft top with hard top on.

With the exception of my 2008 convertible, all of my convertible Corvettes had hard tops that I installed for cold weather months. Never had a problem with my 56, 66, 91 nor 94 convertible tops being down from October thru April. Had my 66 for 14 years and repaced the convertible top one year...
