I had a 1994 roadster with the BOSE CD/Cassette player. The CD player would not play computer generated CDs. I pulled the unit out of the car, and sent it to Dr Don's in Texas. He upgraded the CD player to accept computer dubbed CDs and repaired the Cassette deck. Had it back in less than two weeks over the Thanksgiving holiday. The unit worked perfectly and played all of the CDs that I had burned in my computer. You can remove the unit yourself as Dr Don has a schematic on his site on how to remove the unit, or you can look in the FSM if you have one. It is not hard to do. The repair is reasonable considering all that has to be done, but Dr Don does charge for the CD upgrade over the standard repair of the CD deck. You can find him by Googling Dr Don or Corvette radio repair on the internet. He has his prices listed.
You may get some advice to dump the BOSE and upgrade to a better system, but I wanted my 1994 to be OEM as much as possible, so did not go that route. Hope this helps.
