Here's my beginners tip for you - Cloyes timing chain. Timing chains is all that Cloyes makes and they probably been making them for the last 100 years. Get their performance double roller. Summit probably has one on the shelf. Then you can say Summit sold you a quality chain. :)

I have a Valentine One which I like. It costs a whole lot more than a J.C. Whitney special. Only down side to the Valentine (and others) is when driving near chemical plants that use radar level indication/control instrumentation on their storage tanks.

I pre-fill my filters just because. My Dad and my uncles did it, so I do it. Just the way I was taught. Only one vehicle I have owned that you couldn't pre-fill the filter was my '62 VW Bug.
