Th sludge and carbon build up can be a problem on direct on the new direct injection engines, but has nohing to do with ethanol content and is not applicable to your engine type at all.
Not quite true. The only number that appears on the manifold is the basic casting number irrespective of AIR holes or not. GM did not always follow the fit, form or function convention for part numbers.
The line workers at Tonawanda picked the appropriate manifold in accordance with the engine...
In a given year all big block manifolds were the same part number irrespective of RPO, but the part numbers varied year to year. I don't have the torque values for the bolts, but know that there was no gasket between the head and manifold
Good luck with the flood water clean up.

Did you mean Corvette fiberglass, TruFlex Bumpers, Corvette accessories, Corvette Service, ACI Corvette, American Custom Industries
The smaller of the two lines on the inlet side is to continuously bypass a small amount of fuel back to the tank. This flow keeps the pump ass'y cool to prevent vapour lock. I'd suggest making sure the lines are clear or kinked and that Bubba has not blocked the by pass. I've seen it a dozen times.
Vapour lock happens before/inside the fuel pump, not in the line between the pump and the carb. Are you sure that someone has not downgraded your car with an incorrect non-bypass pump. There must be two lines leading into the pump and one out.
Welcome.
The trim tag is typical of '81 and '82 Corvettes that were built in the Bowling Green Plant. These tags are very different in appearance than the earlier cars built in St. Louis.
The C on the top line of info confirms that this is a 1981 model.
06 means that it was built in the 6th...
Same to you Mac- too bad the weather yesterday put a damper on a few thing. Here's what I was doing 50 years go on July 1 1967. That's the Ottawa train station.
The S was present in all '62 serial numbers and many other year Corvettes as well. It represents St. Louis, the location of the plant where the car was built.
I tried Google with your VIN, and the CI Registry. The Corvette C1 Registry
