    Chrome Platers in Ontario?

Paul, The reason I didn't mention it is because I know most of the chrome shops in and around Montreal, and none of them would deserve my endorsement. All of my work is now being farmed out to a firm in Thetford Mines called " Chrome Specialities ". They don't do the run of the mill...

    Chrome Platers in Ontario?

Joe, good luck in your quest for the above, however one thing I would like to draw your attention to. Quality work, is not usually associated with reasonable cost. If you want excellent results, it's better to pay the piper up front, then trying to find the an inexpensive, reasonably priced...

    Needed, master cylinder rebuilder recommendations

Thank's to all who took the time to respond. I spoke to White Post, and for his 150$ + charges, ( small, single master cylinder ) it turns out to be more profitable to sell it as a core with the booster, rather then having it rebuilt. Regards Stepinwolf

Hot Rod Air ..BB 502 Install Project Post #2

Mark, thank's for the great pics. In one of your pics I have just noticed a bunch of vacuum hoses, and got my first shudder. " Vintage " uses these type of valves on some of their systems, and has proven unreliable in the past when used on high performance engines that don't quite have enough...

    cool new half shafts

Tim, sorry for the hi-jack, but this message from my buddy VNV, needs a responce. VNV, I just love your Avatar, make sure you leave it there for many moons, so that no one will ever forget. As far the clutch thingy, it's going to be hard to incorporate a manual clutch into the TH400 that I...

    cool new half shafts

Tim, Since we are on the subject of shafts, I figured I might as well post a few pictures of mine. These were purchased for the 67 coupe that has the 572 transplant, and I was told that if ever they did not stand up top the abuse, they would be replaced. Forged ends, the strongest " Spicers...

    Front springs

Kid, All kidding aside, you have my word that you will NEVER go back to using the regular steel coils, once you have tried the " duel-mount " glass spring. I was not bullshÎtting when I said that the height, on each side could be adjusted, a millimeter ( or a thousandths of an inch ) at a...

    Front springs

Whoops, got me on that one John. I have been ill lately with a very bad cold, and I was too lazy to go out into the freezing garage to check the exact size of my threaded rod. As you so aptly noted, it is 5/8" in size. My apologies to anyone for having mis-spoken, I don't usually make...

    Needed, master cylinder rebuilder recommendations

If you send your m/cylinder to most any supplier, they can have them rebuilt and sleeved, however I would like to go to their source. Has anyone gone through the process, and if so, with who. ? Stepinwolf

    Front springs

Dave, I don't use any grade 8 hardware on the nut/rod setup. If you want some extra insurance, buy one of the long nuts ( see pic ) that are used to join threaded rods together, and once all the threads are into the rod, you could life the car with it. Sorry for the fuzzy pic, but I think...

    Front springs

Kid, I have been following this thread for a few days now, and although I have contributed, I have also managed to keep personal opinion to myself. Although you might not be ready to make the move, the best solution would be to replace your technically challenged springs, with a " Duel Mount...

    Front springs

Don't waste any time or money on a spring compressor. The easiest, safest, and least expensive way is with a thick threaded rod. Find yourself or purchase a length of threaded rod 5/8" or 3/4" by 30" long. Remove the shock absorber, and replace it with the threaded rod. At the bottom, I use a...

To C2 or not to C2

Rich, As previously mentioned this is a no-brainier, however there are few things to seriously consider before committing. Financially, and fun-wise, you would be miles ahead with the 64, which is under priced in my opinion. You are however, trying to compare apples to oranges. The 93 is a...

Me No Sweat No More.. Bought Me A New A/C System ..This is the Best one I Have Seen.

If I thought for a minute that you were pulling my dick, I would not have responded, however I just want to make sure I am being understood. Regarding the two center vents, yes I do use them, and because these are the closest to the unit, and with the shortest hoses, I guesstimate that about...

Me No Sweat No More.. Bought Me A New A/C System ..This is the Best one I Have Seen.

Wayne, You are absolutely correct in your statement regarding the solid hub. As for the lower two photos, they were taken during the build ( notice there is no upper hose as yet ) and when all was in place, everything looked like the top photo, with the electric fan, snuggled up against the...

Me No Sweat No More.. Bought Me A New A/C System ..This is the Best one I Have Seen.

When the two are not close enough, there is dirty air flowing around both, and not getting through both the radiator and condenser. In a regular factory installation, the condenser/radiator were setup with foam seals that ran along the bottom, on both sides, and across the top of the radiator...
