Did you remember to wipe the  off your chin first ;LOL? Must have been quiet a sight and sound. Sounds like a guy that knows what he wants in his Corvette.
I'm really not sure myself. I wasn't able to give my full attention like I wanted to. I doubt the entire next show will be only the Vette, however, they didn't get it running because of the fuel tank they needed to replace, so they have to get it running in the next show.
It was a 1976!!! I'm not sure the front emblem was correct and I think it had the rear vents behind the window which made me think 1975... but they said 1976. Need to see the steering wheel. All the things they are changing on that beast are the things I want to (need to) change. Espically...
Thanks Paulie, I really couldn't remember. Felt like I was having a blonde moment. Can I blame it on the fact that my AC is not working, it's hitting 93F with over 90% humidity?
I would say, pull the carpet out enough to get in there and have someone spray the car with water. Don't just spray the car all over though, do it in sections so you can try to eliminate different areas. Start with what you suspect first, soak it, wait five to ten minuets for the water to get...
Is your 75 a coupe (t-top) or vert? If it is a vert... the price could bring a little more as that was the last year of the vert until the C4's came along in 86 or 87 I believe. Either way, it is a Stingray and a Shark, so enjoy it.
I figured a Hummers door would open over the top of a Corvette ;LOL. It would be more of the regular sedans that I would worry about. I personally don't park that far out... I think it can attract too much attention :eyerole.
You are complaining that you have to drive your Red Corvette to a show every weekend? You do not like showing off your Corvette amongst many others? If I could get some funds together to give my car a good paint job, I would love to take her to some shows. But until then, she will be a good...
Greetings and welcome to the CAC. You will find a lot of people on here that share your same passion (and anger at times) about this love we call the Corvette. If you have a chance, how about posting a picture or two of your "love". We always like pictures and a story to go along with it.
I am currently in the process of teaching my fiancee how to drive a standard transmission. She is learning in a 91 Ford (I know I know I said Ford) Ranger. It is my beater truck and what better way for her to learn then in a truck I don't really worry about. My problem is that she is still...
Are you trying to shift into first while the car is still in motion or are you putting it in first from a complete stop? I know some cars have a blocker if the car is above a certain MPH. Not sure if the newer Corvettes are that way though.
That looks sharp. It looks so clean under there. It also looks good with that dual exhaust coming out the back. Looks like you are doing a great job. Now how much driving have you been able to do?
Not picky about year or color eh? How far out of Michigan are you looking? Willing to do some traveling for this Corvette? It might help if you have a few more specifics on the car. Automatic or Manual? Coupe, Convertible? If you are totally open to any Corvette, there are a lot out there.
Where abouts is the Z06 located? I was thinking of heading to Richmond this weekend. Only for a quick run to help the parents out (computer issues) and maybe put some new front brake hoses on the Corvette.
There is also no shame in putting a car under a parents name at 21 years of age. I'm...
Hey Reuben, Everyone here is probably right. Driving record has a big effect on what the rates are. Also, Insurance rates are not based on horse power as they once were. More so on the cost or value of the car. It probably also depends if the car is your one and only therefore primary or if...
I really need to clean the engine compartment... with all the oil spills, old hoses breaking (power steering, radiator) and 30 years of dirt and grime. I personally think you had a great day. Time well spent with the Corvette.
Sounds like you had a great time. Sharp looking Vette and such a beautiful engine compartment. I have a question though, what are the gauges in the engine compartment? I am guessing you don't have AC as those gauges look like they have plenty of space too.
And have you called about it yet? Whats the story? If this is a real deal then it will not last very long. Go get it. Is it online ad? Sounds to good to be true, but every now and then it happens.
