Help me find a C3!!!

Just asking you guys to keep your eyes open. I live in Ann arbor michigan, and looking to spend about 6, maybe 6.5, for something in decent shape. I am not picky about the year, or color.

Not sure, but I thought I saw a C3 in last Sunday's paper here for around $6500. I think it was an '80. Are you looking nationwide? If you like I can try and find the ad and number. I'd be willing to look at it for you, but I'm not an expert, but I can give you honest feedback. Good luck in your search.

Not picky about year or color eh? How far out of Michigan are you looking? Willing to do some traveling for this Corvette? It might help if you have a few more specifics on the car. Automatic or Manual? Coupe, Convertible? If you are totally open to any Corvette, there are a lot out there.

Coupe is preferred, willing to drive up to 250 miles.
Actually went and looked at a few vettes locally, decided i don't like cream, or white.
Don't care about auto or manual.
Thanks for the offer Tritium but SC is a bit too far. Actually might have found one in KY, hoping to drive down and look at it sometime this week.

More than two years ago like you I was looking for a decent C3 in SE Michigan (I'm in A2 also). It depends on your definition of 'decent' but I found nothing under $10k that didn't need a lot of work.

Your best bet is going to be with the late 70's cars, but even then there's not much around at the $6k mark. I think one of my neighbors was selling a 75 but he was asking $10k for that.

When you do find something, if you want a second pair of eyes to check it out I'd be glad to help. I sure have learned a lot about what can go wrong with a vette!
