you need to go to gm and get part #14089936 for both maf and burn off relays.they are rihgt behind the battery. also if this dosent work be sure the metal line from the right side of the throttle body to valve cover is open.last check the idle air control. good luck jeff:hb

i had code 36 come up. 1st time it was the vent from the right valve cover to the throttle body was plugged 2nd time 6 mos later i replaced both the maf relay and maf burn off relay so far no codes also check connections to maf good luck jeff

i had a simular problem with my 87. it would start and run but if i let off it would die .if igot it running after a few seconds it would idle. i had to replace the idle air control. good luck jeff

i think where you live has a little to do with the price also. 2 years ago i paid 15000 for my 87 vert with 36000 on it. i looked at a lot of junk before i bought mine
