    Spare tire cover, necessary?

jmccloud is correct. On the factory spare tire delete cars, an additional brace was in place instead of the spare tire and cover. It provided more rear end collision protection. If you want to remove the whole deal, go ahead.

    crome 5 spoke wheels

Sounds nice., and period correct. Chrome, silver grey/silver, and a bit of black. Not extremely colorful, but to me, I think it is a very clean timeless look. I would love a silver - chrome bumber shark and slap on a set of original torque Thrust wheels. Timeless beauty.

    crome 5 spoke wheels

I've heard of others purchasing from OE Wheels. www.corvettegarage.com and www.tomzwheels.com are some others. Good luck. What style are you getting.

    crome 5 spoke wheels

In 1991, all base wheels were the same size as 1990, 17x9.5, but were a new design. The 17x8.5/17x9.5 combo didn't start until 93.

How do you know that your clutch is going?

Hey Stallion, How have you been? If your clutch pedel is engaging high up off the floor, not down low near the floor, then you are probably in the last 10% of clutch life. If that's the case, you should start thinking about a replacement clutch. What kind of hp and torque are you putting out...

    Front sway bar bushings

Hey Glenn, The reason I asked if you had poly bushings is because they are notorious for squeaking. Could you determine exactly which set of bushings were squeaking? The center two bushings are bracket to rubber to sway bar. If they are squeaking, loosen them and apply a silicone lubricant on...

    Front sway bar bushings

If they are poly, a thin coat of most any heavy grease will work. Do they look and feel like rubber or very hard (POLY)?

Leave 2 tone bronze? Or go red?

They're both right ! 1. Believe it or not, in 20 years your 84 will be a collectors item. 2. It is a much involved process to change color. 3. I know your color combination, and poliched up, it looks great, In fact I am considering purchasing a totally originonal perfect 19,000 mile 85...

    "New" 1985 coupe for sale

Hey Gents, That price is where it should be. My friend has a twin to this model, except for the transmission. I would like to buy his for the education of preparing the car for the Bloomington Gold-Survivor-Benchmark certification. A car like this is probably a shoe in, and the experience would...

    Rebuild or replace heads?

Go to www.eportworks.com Look over the site. Decide exactly what you want in your new engine- lots of low end torque, easy to drive on the street. If you have an automatic, etc. Then call Lloyd and talk to him. You are at the threshold of a new day. Be wise and plan ahead.

    cleaning in front of radiator

There is another method to screen off the air intake on C4s. Available at Lowe's or Home Depot, is a galvanized expanded metal gutter guard screening. These screens are 36" long and 5.5" wide. With just a bit of trimming, one piece will effectively screen off the radiator intake. Cost is...

    C4 Posters - LARGE

Garage Art Go to Mid America, or probably any aftermarket supply house. They have two C 5 dealer posters 11' x 4'. That should be big enough for you. They also have lots of smaller signs, retro signs and cute stuff. Attend some of the larger Corvette gigs and you'll find many 24 x 36 posters...

    1993 Replacement Wheels

You sure can. You could go 17x9.5 and then easily rotate your tires, or you could go to 18" wheels, and you could even go to 17x11 or 18x10.5 in the rear if you want a larger tire patch. Many C4's came from the factory with 17x9.5.
