I have heard that if you can catch your nail in the scratch it is too deep to remove. Other than that they work quite well. I would try it.

It is not a "Stinger" BB hood. It's an aftermarket L88 like was used 68-69. Different.

Many guys, myself included, have done sb-bb conversions. The Z bar/clutch system is always reused with NO issues. The width is identical.

I thought that by '81 all Corvettes had the monospring. Would it be a good idea to build your own shield to wrap around your spring?

Way ta go guys. I to am probably going to make a dash for my '65. Put in some guages that work and save the old dash for the next guy. My car is also a conglomeration and love it just the way it is. Had correct cars before but this one is so much more fun.
