    Sport seat lumbar bladder replacement

Your manual should show four clips that secure the upholstery to the seat back, two near mid-top, and two near mid-bottom. The bladder should be located between the foam and the leather. I hope you are not going through this trouble to replace your bladders when the pump my be faulty.

car dying for no apparent reason

I think you can rule out contaminated fuel as your problem. Fuel symptoms would be random missing, hesitation, loss of power, etc., not a complete shut-down. It sounds more electrical, even though the SYS light was not displayed. As a test, turn your ignition to 'on', and notice if the SYS...

    Stupid Question re Battery Charger

Your concern about the age of your batt is valid. If the ammeter is showing a charge, when it normally does not, it could be a sign that it is time for a new batt, especially since you do not know the age of the batt. No need to visit a GM dealer for a new batt. I have had very reliable...

    No Brakes!!!!!!

The heat in your lines is caused by friction somewhere. Jack each wheel and spin it to determine any excessive pad contact.

    No Brakes!!!!!!

"... the brake hoses were very hot"..... It is possible that the parking brake is "dragging" causing the brake fluid to boil. Boiling brake fluid will cause bubbles in the system, preventing compression of the fluid during braking. Check your parking brake.....

This link was included as an 'edit' in my first response; you may have missed it: http://www.chevythunder.com/ses_chart_a3a.htm You might check the ignition module.... it is readily accessible... can cause a "no-start-when-hot" condition. Good luck!

    Sports seat question / problem

If access to the pump housing bolts is blocked, removing the seats is a cinch. Unplug the power, move the seat to the full forward position, and then to the full rear position for access to 4 nuts (the bolts are secured to the chassis). There are 2 small plastic trim panels located at the...

    Sports seat question / problem

If the diaphragm fits the body with no internal leaks, and the two pieces of the valve body are secured tightly to prevent external leaks, the pump will work.

    Sports seat question / problem

Looking at the finished diaphragm, it appears in the photo not to be perfectly round. It may be just the photo, but if the diaphragm does not provide a seal, air will not be pumped to the bladders. To test the pump, remove the tubing, activate the pump and place your finger near one of the...

    Sports seat question / problem

Nice going, Howard.... you are half-way finished. Just take your time making new diaphragms. It is important that they fit within the alloted space.... not too big.... not too small... just right.. I found it easier to start with a square piece of inner tube so that I could precisely locate...

    Stumbles until Warm

Before replacing "good" parts without code confirmation, try to verify the problem: http://www.chevythunder.com/o2_sensor_diagnostics.htm. http://www.chevythunder.com/o2_sensor_code_44.htm http://www.chevythunder.com/o2_sensor_code_45.htm When you write that no codes are set, I am assuming...
