    Re weired Vin Number

If it's been converted to RH drive, then it may have been converted to a convertible too. The RH drive conversion in these cars is not easy at all, so it wouldn't be too surprising to see the 'vert added at the same time. A couple of ZR1's have been converted with factory parts, so it's very...

C6 to get 443 hp and 413 lb/ft of torque according to this

I think I remember seeing spy shots of the the new CTS-V with a wide body and the LS7. So it could be de-tuned LS7 numbers... I think Caddy is really trying to go after BMW M series buyers so it would make some sense in that regard.

    Siamized Plenum?

not sure why it's a horrible idea. if you like the look, you like the look. it's no different than changing wheels, or any other appearance mod.

    Again--if it's not one thing it's another!!!

Tune up + hesitation + Oil leak. Wonder if that = a loose spark plug? If whoever you took it too did a rush job, or just didn't give a crap they may have not tightened down the rear most plug (which is a real PITA to get to). This simple problem would cause all the symptoms you have...

Need Help For New Zr-1 Owner - PLEASE READ

Hey Rob, where in FL was it? You don't have to give away the dealer but I am friends with a 'Vette mechanic on the East coast that has done a lot of work on ZR1's and he may know the car. Also, Any Chevy/GM dealer has access to a system that has details regarding any service done at any...

    muffler eliminators

I used to have a 1987 yellow vert too. They didn't make that many of them. I really loved that car, wish I could find it so I could buy it back. On mine, I had the 'monza' mufflers from MidAmerica (not much more than eliminators), basically, they are glass packs. little to no resonance, but...

Ron Fellows Championship Z06 And Indy Pace Car Replica Convertible Editions Make 2007

The pace cars that pay a sort of tribute to the American flag were in 2004 and 2006. The 1996 Grand Sports can also be said to pay a tribute to it, on color only. The 2004 and 2006 pace cars were not available for sale to the general public. Festival cars were available in those years, but I...

    2 NEW MODELS

Most of them usually get sold to the public. When they quote the numbers of the replica pace cars, they generally don't include the track cars. They do include the festival cars, but they get sold after they are used at the track. There were quite a few 2006 Pace car festival cars a while...

Ron Fellows Championship Z06 And Indy Pace Car Replica Convertible Editions Make 2007

The Corvette is mostly American. I know many parts come from different places, but the majority of the car is American and it's known as an American Sports Car. The maple leaf on the car is most certainly a tribute to Ron Fellows and while it's a nice tribute it just seems a bit odd to me. It...

Ron Fellows Championship Z06 And Indy Pace Car Replica Convertible Editions Make 2007

Z06: I think it's a bit odd to see the maple leaf on the Corvette. Ron may be Canadian, but Corvette never has been... GM trying to increase Canadian sales with this thing? The pace car is pretty tasteful... It's nice to see them go back to a mild version, like the '78 and '86 Pace Cars.

That's what i was looking for. I checked the info in the model center here at CAC, and the top color count doesn't add up properly (not even close). Thanks for the info!!

    sawblades

I used a brush on stripper on my '87. Don't bother with any 'safety strippers'. you need full power stuff to get the clear off. It requires a TON of work. The wheels are not smooth under the clear, they are machined in a circular pattern and the grooves are thicker than they look with the...

    1992 Hardtop only Convertible...

This is on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/92-Chevrolet-Corvette-Convertible-52K-Rare-Model-No-Res_W0QQitemZ110081167196QQihZ001QQcategoryZ6168QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I haven't heard of this before... anyone know if it is 'real' or just a regular convertible with the soft top taken out?

Anyone use the cross-drilled, sloted ebay rotors?

FWIW: I bought a set from eBayer *rotorworks* for my 1996 lincoln Town Car. They don't look as good as R1's rotors, but they really woke up the braking. Considering it's a gigantic vehicle by today's standards I am VERY impressed with the addition of the drilled and slotted rotors. Some of...

    Removal of Airbag

I don't have all the details, but I know you must disconnect the battery AND wait a while before removal. There is power stored to make sure the bag will go off in the event of a crash that kills power to the bag.

    LT4 Best LT4 Mods

It's always best to figure out a plan. Pick a budget and/or a performance goal before anything. If your budget is $5000 total, you may wind up with a supercharger to achieve all your goals... BUT, if you start throwing parts at it before you figure out what you want, your budget could easily...
