Welcome to :CAC and congrats on your Vette!!! My first vette was a 1980 black with oyster interior L82. Bought it in '83. Man, do I miss that car!!!

Not sure whats done at the 1000 mile check, or even if there is one. I've got 2800 on my 07 and haven't had anything done yet. As far as break in oil, I don't think GM uses it in the vettes. I believe they're using synthetic right from the start. Just check the DIC and see how the oil percentage is.

Get the newest you can afford. Each year they got a little better than the previous years, IMHO. Good luck on your search!! :thumb

Jane Ann, I used my iPod in my C5 also, through an FM transmitter. It sounded OK, not great. The whole Bose system IMHO in the C5 was just mediocre. If I had to go back and do it over, I would definetly get it hard wired in.

A good friend of mine has the Corsa Extreme on his 07 Pace car. The only way I can describe the difference in sound is the Corsa sounds more like a Ferrari, where as the Borla sounds more like a muscle car. As for performance, I would imagine they're pretty close. No matter which exhaust you...

I finally did it! I had a Borla (Stingers) exhaust installed on my Vette yesterday. Now it has a great sound and no more back pressure. When you let off the gas, she just coasts along as nices can be. And the sound of it when you hit the Go Pedal......:cool

My wife's pretty good that way too. She gets antsy when I put the top down though. She has visions of a bird poohing on her head!!!! :L
