    Vette won't start:The Next Generation

Thanks Ken! Please note I jab the Dealer, not the rider. My local HD dealer has me riding a BMW.I'm so glad they weren't able to take me for $4000 over list.BMW scooter for $2000 under list is *much* better. And you can actually ride it for more than thirty minutes at a time!!! OK,I'm through...

Bose Speaker Locations in '90 Coupe

The Bose system is awful when it 's not working properly. The upside is no one will ever steal it. If decide to repair it,try American Eagle in Georgia(mail order) I had mine repaired and purchased all new speakers and amps for less than $500.00 and for another $200.00 I bought a Bazooka Bass...

Whats the Best C4 to Buy?

I think the L-98 may be the best bang for the buck. The prices are considerably lower than the LT-1,it has more torque, and you can get the 90,and not have the "pinball"dash, which can give you fits.

    Harley Davidson Corvette?

No. The ZR-1 didn't need any help from that kind of ilk. Remove those stickers. It brings down the value of the car. Harley-Davidson.Yeesh.And I thought the Yugo had a bad dealer network.

    Vette won't start:The Next Generation

I believe my 90 has two relays for the fuel pump. The body shop guy was trying to get it running and he readily admits he's a body man,not a mechanic. But he *is*trying to get it going. When I went over there,he had checked one relay and was trying to find the second relay. It was under the dash...

After reading Tucks multi page headache,I hated to post this, but where else do ya go?Besides, mines a lil' different. 90 L98,laid up since March 24(snif..) Finally, decided that the body work was more than I could handle or take the time for and sent it to a body shop. It won't start. We are...

    Bumper cover swap

My 90 Vette is unusual in the fact that it has square tailights.L-98.Thin black moulding. So now that the bumper cover is FUBAR,I am wondering if the 91 bumper will fit right up to my 90 quarter panels.I kind of fig that the previous owner got a ZR-1 lookalike from Ecklers or what not,but just...

Anytime Topless. FX3FX3-yes it would be.You would get the lifetime warranty. However,I was expecting a $220.00 bill vs. an $800.00 for four new shocks.I am getting a $400.00 dollar bill for repair though. When I talked to Bill (from Bilstein)on the phone,I figured I'm still saving $400.00 so I...

The procedure is definately not in the 1990 GM service manual.

    EEK! Quarter Panel Removal Procedure

Correct.Bonded on securely I might add. However,I have the GM shop manual, and I don't find the procedure. It has dang near everything else you need. But then again,I can't find my keys when they're right in front of me sometimes,so I'll have another look. Anybody else have any resources?

    EEK! Quarter Panel Removal Procedure

Please let me sound off first. A person who is driving down a major interstate (I-30)no traffic, clear skies, begins to suffer vehicle failure.Do they: A.Pull over to the shoulder of the highway. B.Make an attempt to get the car off the highway while it is still moving. C.Let the car come to a...

    Beating a dead horse.

SVC is O.K. Thanks for the input, though. No single speaker is noticeably louder than any other,so it is a head unit problem,I presume.:confused

    Beating a dead horse.

Yep,self powered tube.It also has it's own volume control. I don't know if they are losing volume individually or not.I have just noticed it as an overall loss in loudness but I will check that out.

    Beating a dead horse.

O.K.Let me try this approach. What took 1/4 turn of the volume knob before now takes 1/2 turn. A Bose system in one of these cars is not gonna bust an eardrum.

    Beating a dead horse.

I have a horse named 'Bose Gold' I keep in a stable called 1990 Coupe. About a year and a half ago,I had the CD/Cass rebuilt and replaced all four amps and speaker units. With the addition of a Bazooka Bass Tube,it sounded very, very good.:dance Lately it's requiring more twist on the volume...
