    Question: Removable Hardtop Dimensions

I checked out the size of the soft top - barely fit, so I used my bud's small quad trailer. When we got to East Coast Corvettes yesterday in Swedesboro, PA -we had to laugh... talk about overkill! The top fit snugly inside the Trailblazer. We then went to downtown Philly to get some...

What can't you use anti-sieze grease on?

Good info... thanks. I've used anti-seize on spark plugs and lugs... never experienced any problems; but I'll clean up everything to prevent any long-lasting damage.

    Question: Removable Hardtop Dimensions

Hi All, I purchased a removable hardtop. It's in NJ and I plan to pick it up this weekend. Does anyone know the dimensions of these things? I believe it's about 48" wide. It would be nice if it could fit in my wife's 7-passenger Trailblazer with the seats folded down... otherwise I gotta...

    Soda Blasting

Mikey -- hmmm good question. I got the Dec 20th date from OEM Glass (http://www.oemglass.net/date_coding.html) - they decoded the info from my original windshield when they replaced it. I can't remember the name of the gentleman with whom I spoke with back then, but he seemed extremely...

    Soda Blasting

That makes sense for the larger blasters. Although the one I have is also for soda, it is by no means an industrial/commercial type of unit. It's good for the hobbyist. etc.

    Soda Blasting

I'm still working on the body-on resto as time permits. I picked up one of thse Eastwood blasters that converts between abrasive blasting and bicarbonate of soda blast media. Converting to to the soda setting, I was able to remove paint from nooks and crannies that I couldn't reach very well...

Help! How to Install 1969 Front Grill & Brackets ???

I'm at a loss... I finally installed the replacement front lower valance, but now cannot remember how the front grill brackets are supposed to be attached and to what they're supposed to be attached. The AIM diagram is not very clear. I believe the parking lamp/turn signal bracket is part of...

Whats the best clutch to us?

I have a LUK clutch and it's perfect for my needs. One thing to remember is that you will have use a different pivot stud with the clutch fork. The LUK clutch requires a taller pivot stud. It is part # LAC108, and can be purchased from Dial-a-Clutch (Dial-A-Clutch - Your LuK Clutch Kit...

Question: folks, i really have a somewhat dumb and silly question here....

If YOU want it, then go for it. You can always have the tint removed later; so in my opinion originality (as in "permanency") is not really affected.

How much to you do on your Corvette?

You should have included a button for "Almost Everything" --- I've been doing everything EXCEPT upholstery.... so far, that's almost everything.

East wood's 2K Ceramic Chassis Black quesion

One quart of 2K satin black was able to sufficiently cover two coats of a chassis of a Ford T-Bucket (kit car project). I am not sure of the relative size that would be to a Vette (I've never had mine off frame). I cant imagine it's much of a difference though. Ralph

East wood's 2K Ceramic Chassis Black quesion

I've used both, POR-15 and Eastwood. The POR-15 kit with the cleaners is great stuff - you'll have to use a top coat to prevent it from oxidizing. More recently I used the 2K Eastwood and I like it better. The POR-15 is very thick and can be difficult to control. However, the Eastwood stuff...

    79 with 1,000 miles

That steering wheel... yeah it's pretty cheesy. I was disappointed to find that steering wheel in my '72 Camaro when I bought it. It turns out that it was an option back then (gross). The '70 Camaro I had in high school did not have that wheel. Back in 1980, I helped my friend put a 350 V8...
