There is no telling....from what I hear, they had problems with overheating on early production cars and the fix was the 2 holes and the spoiler....mine is a small block base motor so really not an issue....may be for you BB guys...
I'm sure JohnZ would...
Frt Spoiler
Jim,
The attached pic shows a front spoiler (or extension), my car doesn't have it either.....it does however have the two cutouts shown....
The drawing date is 11-28-67 so it is possible that your car, as mine, was built without the extension.....
Maybe someone like JohnZ will...
Just wait!
They'll figure it out eventually....
Actually Texas isn't that bad, it's just in the counties surrounding some of the big cities.....several more counties will be added as the population grows...
Exactly....
Over time it will probably wear out some.....my key really has to be pushed in far in order for the buzzer to come on.....
Amazing what was cool back then and state of the art.......
Could always disconnect if need be....
Two Speed Idle tests are required for cars 1995 and older in Travis county (Austin).....this test measures hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide....
I believe though, since your car is 28 years old you should be able to apply for classic status which will exempt you from yearly smog checks. That way...
Not really sure.....tried one place, of course they have the 63-67 piece but no mention of the 68.....
Welcome to '68 ownership....
Might have to call around some places...wonder if it's the same for 69 to whatever?
Somebody has to have it....
Jim,
Not sure you can determine the EXACT date from the VIN but he could order the build sheet from the Corvette Museum.....a close date should be on there.
And there is one on the car, if you wanna go thru the hassle of getting to it.
Take care....
