Hello from a new member in Iowa

Welcome to CAC. I grew up in Cedar Rapids and still go back a couple of times a year. The last time was about a month ago and I took my Vette, what a great trip. Good luck on your search, I have only had mine since March and I would highly recommend the feeling of driving one of these great cars.

    Part time turn signal

This site is just too good, I started having this problem with my 2000 vert just the other day and I was going to do a search to see if anyone else ever had this problem. Now, I don't have to search and I have my answer. Thanks, guys.

    Optional 12 Disc CD Changer

There is also the option of connecting the IPODTOCAR directly to the back of your factory head unit if you don't have the cable in the trunk. You do have to get a different wiring harness but it really does work well. The Peripherals PXHGM4 harness plugs directly into the factory head unit and...

I have followed Mark for a long time, he is a class act. If DEI gives him a good car he will do well. Good luck, Mark.

    50th - A good buy?

I would agree with Jane Ann, the convertible is pretty quiet with the top up. I was really surprised at how quiet it really is. My only other experience was with a '66 Austin Healey Sprite and it was just noisy no matter what. I took my first long road trip with the Vette last month and the...

So...how many of us take our Vetts out if it is raining?

The typical forecast during the summer in Denver, sunny with a chance of late day showers. If I didn't drive it when it might rain, I would never drive it. It is pretty much my daily driver so I have driven it in the rain a few time. When we get home I dry it off and make it look good for the...

    Front Plate used?

Front Plate Now I didn't have the front plate displayed and yesterday I got a ticket from the parking patrol that is $30 that I didn't want to spend. I went home and took the cover piece off, I already had the plate in place. So now I have to get either the clear cover piece or the filler piece...

[News Article] In seashell, echoes of the past

That story sounds an awful lot like the story of my wife and me. High school sweethearts, broke up, did see each other for about 30 years and then married. I will have to make my wife read this story. Thanks for sharing it.

Sexy body?? You be the judge...

This car might not suit everyone but I bet the workmanship is outstanding. I have seen several of the cars that they have prepared and they are beautiful. I bought my Vette from them, they are great people. I may have to run by and see it in person. Just my two cents worth.

Do you folks name you cars?

I haven't named the Vette yet but I did have names for some vehicles that I have owned. I had a 74 Land Cruiser that was B B Bruiser, Blue Bun Bruiser. I had a 93 Astro that was dubbed the Teal Mobile and that was what we called it from then on. I had a couple of other vehicles that I refered...

    No Start

Problem solved. I took the battery out and had it checked it was good. I was putting things back together and found that there was a very small amount of corrosion on the positive cable. The rubber "cap" had been pushed out of shape and the corrosion was allowed to form. Any way cleaned it up...

    No Start

I did some searchs to see if I could find this problem. I either didn't use the right key words or didn't go far enough into the results. Any way I went out to my 2000 M6 last night and nothing happened, I mean nothing. I punched the remote as I walked up to the car (I was not at home) and all...

    Attention C5 Owners!

I don't know about the mountains, they still look pretty white but along the Front Range, it was in the 80's on Sunday. I had the top down and went for a very nice ride. I did see a few other Vettes out and about it was so nice to be able to give them a big wave and get one in return.

    C5 purchase advice

Since I just bought my first Corvette at the begining of this month, I may not have the best advice, but here goes. In my opinion if all other things are equal go with the lower mileage C5. I had a choice of a 2002 with about 45,000 vs a 2000 with just under 36,000, I got the 2000. I am sure...
