Help! ZR-1 Fuel sending unit and fuel pumps needed

Okay, I'm confused, you state: "I need a sending unit that is completely shot and will not function." Is that a typo or are you looking for one that can be rebuilt or are you looking for a new replacement? If so, would this work? Corvette Gas Tank Sending Unit, With Pump, ZR1, AC Delco, 1990-1995

    Concerns buying rebuilt engine?

Just my 2 cents worth, if the current owner can't (won't) answer your questions about the rebuild, I'd walk away as fast as I could. Something seems off with this sale to me.

Help! 1986 Vette Dies 20-30 minutes after starting

Come to think about it, my 89 had very similar symptoms, I had forgotten about that. Turns out the pre cats were plugged. The mechanics at a Corvette specialty shop in Colorado Springs knew exactly what the issue was when I described the symptoms. I replaced the y pipe with an "off road" y pipe...

Help! 1986 Vette Dies 20-30 minutes after starting

Just a random odd thought,,,,, is there something floating around in the tank restricting or blocking the inlet on the fuel pump after it runs for a while?

Question: Has anyone done a track day in a ZR1 CONVERTIBLE?

About fifteen years back, there was a track in Colorado that would let us take our convertibles out, but... Unless you had an approved roll bar and passed a vehicle inspection, they put a track official in the car with you and gave you a do not exceed speed which kept you from doing much. Those...

Lots of folks out there bashing the C4...what gives?

Dated design??? Still a fine looking automobile, and, still outperforms a whole bunch lot of newer performance vehicles. And speaking of supposedly dated designs that keep on trucking and performing above and beyond...the last B-52H was delivered to the gov't in 1962. Sometimes older is better...

    cooling fan will come on

Follow Hib's advice and get the FSM's, especially if you plan on doing your own maintenance. Do the fans ever come on? And, if I remember correctly (no longer own the car so the memory is a bit fuzzy..), my primary fan didn't come on until the water temp hit 225, the secondary at around 235...

Lots of folks out there bashing the C4...what gives?

Ahh, the C4 debate. To each his own, but,,,, I still think that the C4 was/is the best looking Vette ever made. had my knee's not gone bad, I would still be driving mine. Sold it at 180,000 miles and miss it every day. Got to the point to where it just plain hurt to climb in and out so I...

    Help! Mice

We've been using this stuff in our 5th wheel for years (stored outside all winter) and it works well for us. The smell isn't offensive at all, sorta likea balsam pine odor. Most any rv store will sell it. I've seen it at home depot, too. And, I also throw a couple in the engine compartment of my...
