    89 alarm

I would if I could but, I'd have to have one first. The only thing that came with my car was an old speeding ticket (Palmer Lake, Colorado, 108 mph, reckless driving) the former owner left under the seat. No books, no manual, no nuthin. Figured out the hard way how to turn it on/off.

    89 alarm

Interesting, when my alarm is tripped, it won't shut off until I start the car. Just unlocking the door doesn't kill it after it goes off. And no, 89's didn't have keyless entrys.

    89 alarm

Welcome to the Forum! And, you're driving an 89 C4 Convertible? Not that I'm biased towards 89 verts but, still think they're one of the best looking Corvettes ever made. Post a photo when you get a chance.

    89 alarm

On mine, the alarm turns on when you lock the door using the power lock switch. It gets turned off using the key to open the door. Simple test would be to lock the car (with the window down) reach through the window unlock the door and open it. The alarm should go off. Once it goes off, it gets...

    Low Tire Pressure Sensors

Barrett, you'll appreciate this story. :chuckle I found a set of NOS that fit mine somewhere around 2007 and had them installed to replace my dead ones. Just before I moved away from Colorado about four years ago, I had a new set of tires put on my 89 and I made a point of reminding them about...

Roaring in rear end of my C5

Just out of curiosity, is the noise speed related at all? What do you hear at low speed vs high speed?

Rob, if you don't mind, I'm going to copy/paste something you posted in a link we had about that certain person. Might be a good thing if we all read it every now and then...especially the last three paragraphs. Your use of the forums, message boards, and any other public discussion medium...

    Nice typo...

from the LA Times.... The 2017 Corvette Grand Sport Coupe has a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that makes 460 horsepower with a seven-speed manual transmission and a top speed of 118 mph. 2017 Corvette Grand Sport Coupe - LA Times I bet they think Hillary won the election, too.

    Charging question

Not to say that this is your problem because there are too many variables, but,,, My 89 did something similar and it turned out to be flaky diodes in the alternator. A good alternator repair shop figured it out for me. Don't remember what the cost was but it was cheaper than a new alternator.

Help! Manually unlocked my c7 doors battery is dead and now I can't close the doors, is there anyway to close the doors?

It isn't just Vettes,,,, my XK8 suffers from the same problem so it lives on a battery tender jr whenever it sits for more than a week. Too many electronics stay active even in shut down mode. On the other hand, my F350 diesel can sit for two months and start right up.

    Aggressive tailgating

Sorry to say that I guess I'm the A-Hole responder type. :chuckle I start tapping the "coast" button on my cruise and keep taking it down 1 mph at a time till they pass me. I let them get waaaay past me then resume the speed limit. Not to say that I never speed, but if I do, I like open road and...
