I've had good luck with BF Goodrich G Force Sports on my 89 vert. This is my third set and I currently have about 145,000 miles on the car. Think I paid about $160.00 each last year for this set. Total bill was right around $700.00 for mounting/balancing/new valve stems and replacement warranty...
Thanks, Bud. Haven't been very active here the last year as the move and work around the new (used) house has occupied waaaay too much time. 120 inches of snow over the winter precluded any Vette time and now we're in prime pothole season so it still isn't getting enough road time. Soon, I hope.
Dan was a friend and always there whenever any of us needed help with our cars. We'll never know what truly happened or why it happened but he and Priscilla will be missed. All of us in the Rocky Mountain Corvette Social Club will miss them greatly.
And, a friend just sent me a link to one of...
Speaking of hijacked threads and seeing your post, it just dawned on me that Slyman's is only about 4.5 hours away from where I live now...........I see a road trip this spring.
No sign of cracking up to the day we left Colorado. But then, the people that leveled the site did an excellent job of ground prep, leveling and compaction. I forget what grade of road base they used but I think the ground prep and compaction is the main reason we never had an issue. We had a...
That's how they mixed mine, too. Looked a little odd after floating and cure. I had a hairy floor for a while til we wore off the fibers that stuck up on the surface.:ugh
My pole barn was built by a company called Morton. They have a rather unique way of hanging their sliding doors so there is never a problem with rocks/stones as the door has no real bottom track. As to the drains, Colorado wasn't real fussy back when it was built and seeing as how it was...
To add to the other suggestions: floor drains, minimum of 100 amp service, 200 would be better. Make sure you have your 220V outlets in a couple of places. I screwed up by not having paved approaches to the sliding doors. I'd stay away from skylights, never met one yet in a pole barn that didn't...
I agree fully, Tom. If he really wants a nightmare car to work on/complain about, he should look at my old '75 Jaguar XJ12C. Makes C3 big blocks look easy.
Entry level with pricing to match. We don't all need cars that are capable of 190+ mph. A true American made, two seat, sport touring car. Decent price/mileage/handling. Get them hooked and people will want to step up to the next level.
I don't mind driving mine in a little snow but we had 10 inches the other day along with a fair amount of black ice. Mine doesn't stop very well on that stuff and we live in an area with lots of people that haven't seen much snow/ice. I'd be afraid of getting crunched with that C7
I kinda wonder if part of it isn't the technology of the older cd players. My 2001 Rover Disco does not like "burned at home" cd's at all, even to the point of problems ejecting the carrier yet I have no problem with commercial cd's. And, I've played my home burned cd's in newer vehicles without...
My first thought was, "Holy crap, drive that on the snow??", My second thought was that it reminded me of the Hertz rental Z06. And finally, third thought was that the color combo sounds kinda strange but it looks good.
I run BF Goodrich on mine and they too will flatspot if I let it sit for any length of time. Thankfully, this part of Colorado lets me drive it year round so it isn't much of an issue. Couple of miles and they're just fine.
